And Anadolu Agency reported, Friday evening, that Davutoglu received Abdul Rahman Al Thani at the Turkish Foreign Ministry headquarters in the capital, Ankara, where he confirmed that he discussed developments in Afghanistan and bilateral relations between Turkey and Qatar.

It is noteworthy that Lulwa bint Rashid Al-Khater, Assistant Foreign Minister and official spokesman for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said last Wednesday that her country and charities have built more housing for Afghan refugees, as the Qatari authorities have built more housing and field clinics, as well as providing more than 55 A thousand meals a day for Afghan refugees.

Rashid Al-Khater confirmed that about two-thirds of the evacuees from Afghanistan have moved to other countries, while about 20,000 people are still in her country, which provides them with food and health and medical care.

The Qatari official explained that some Afghan refugees, including refugees who worked for media organizations such as the American “New York Times”, were housed in completely new villas built for the 2022 World Cup, while others live in the “Al Udeid” military base.

Lulwa bint Rashid Al-Khater indicated that her country has provided 68 tons of food and medical aid to Afghanistan.

On August 31, the Taliban seized the entire Kabul airport, hours after the last US military plane took off from it and the foreign forces finally left Afghanistan, followed by the movement’s militants celebrating this withdrawal, expressing their joy at the return of the “Islamic regime”.
