Study reveals why it is difficult to lose excess weight because of exercise?

Exercise helps fight obesity by burning calories and stimulating the breakdown of fat tissue, but scientists have discovered a new mechanism that explains why it is difficult for some people to lose weight.

A new scientific study confirmed that the body responds to the energy burned through sports, which greatly affects the daily energy balance, according to the publication of the “Med Portal” website.
The researchers found that increasing physical activity through exercise pushes the body to try to compensate for the waste of energy, by reducing its expenditure during rest, that is, starting to use fewer calories for various life processes, and thus people trying to lose weight find that they were initially able to get rid of Those extra pounds, but quickly notice a lack of progress for weeks or months.

National guidelines around the world recommend burning 500-600 calories per day through exercise and diet, but do not take into account the number of calories burned to perform basic bodily functions, and their value when exercising to compensate for the energy expended.

Research has shown that, at the end of the day, when the final calculation of the energy burned, obese people lose half of the calories needed during physical activity, and therefore the body saves the rest of the calories and reduces energy consumption during rest, while people of normal weight lose 72% worth of calories during daytime exercise.

Scientists have not yet been able to explain why obese people gain weight if this is due to increased energy compensation, or if energy compensation is due to the fact that they weigh more.
