Luminous “cosmic stars” inside caves of an untouched primitive forest shock scientists

A group of caves spread in some areas of the Mississippi forests that have not been touched by humans until now, where the tall, dense and ancient trees still hide many secrets and strange scenes among their green branches.

A researcher specializing in biology, Slaby McCaffrey, confirms that east of the Mississippi is “the last primitive forest in the world”, meaning that these forests “have not been touched by an axe and have never been reached by fire, and they are a gathering of very old wooden trees” that is almost impossible to reach. to it by any kind of machinery for farming. The humid climate in it is ideal for its reproduction and continuation, as the trees built themselves a deep valley that kept them alive to this day.
Hidden in these forests are very unique and rare creatures that seem at first glance from the “world of fantasy”, where these creatures are spread in dark primitive caves that are still far from any external influences man-made.

Creatures that make up their “little universe” inside primal caves

A group of research and exploration teams entered one of the mysterious caves hidden by this strange primitive valley. A scene similar to space galaxies.
The largest gathering of “The Night Light” in the world… an enchanting scene from the world of imagination

Breeding in these primitive places thousands of years ago, great groups of night worms formed their own strange world within the dark caves and valleys of the primeval forest.

According to “nationalgeographic”, night owls perform very strange and exciting light shows from mid-April to mid-May of each year when their eggs hatch, and then the peak of these light shows again in mid-September to October.

“We have the largest number of nightshades in the world,” says the researcher, because the thick covering of the eastern hemlock tree in the valleys of Dismals Canyon, an Alabama park, provides the optimum moisture that these insects need to survive.
Unique and magical endangered worms

A study published in 2020 in the journal “Insect Conservation and Diversity” indicated that the numbers of glow worms decreased by three-quarters between 2001 and 2018, a very large and alarming percentage, caused by the climate crisis and global warming, according to research.

Another study published by the Royal Society in July 2020 found that artificial light pollution affects the glow of female insects. In short, when these insects are exposed to artificial light, these female worms are less likely to light up and try to hide.
How does the magic of light come out of this little creature?

Marine biologist and founder of the Water Pollution Institute, Dr Kasper Ohm, says the amount of artificial light at night is increasing worldwide, affecting the behavior of nocturnal organisms, including “bioluminescence”.

Bioluminescence occurs widely in marine vertebrates and invertebrates, as well as in some fungi, terrestrial arthropods and microorganisms including some bioluminescent bacteria.

This light results from the conversion of chemical energy into light energy, whereby luciferin, after combining with oxygen, turns to form the luminous oxyluciferin.

This reaction is carried out by the enzyme “luciferase”, which binds to the energy source in living cells (adenosine triphosphate).

Although these caves have never been excavated, spear heads dating back to the Paleolithic period have been found in different areas of the valley; It is believed that these artifacts were left by the first humans known to inhabit this part of North America, but what is alarming is that the inhabitants of the Earth may forever leave these magical unique creatures due to the rapid decline in their numbers, as nature will lose a magical scene of a wonderful “small universe” Beauty is not in space but on planet earth.
