Romania’s Sports Minister Eduard Novak scored a great victory for his country, Friday, by winning the silver medal in the cycling track at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
And the website “worldakkam” reported that the Romanian minister came in second place behind Slovakia’s Josef Mitelka, who won the gold medal, while the Colombian Diego Dueñas won the bronze.

It is noteworthy that the Romanian Minister, Novak, who is disabled, had previously won gold and silver in the 2012 London Olympics.

The opening ceremonies of the Paralympic Games, hosted by Japan, for the second time in its history, kicked off last Tuesday, amid precautionary measures, the most prominent of which were preventing fans from attending due to the Corona pandemic.

This was reported by the Japanese news agency (NHK), noting that Tokyo has become the first city in the world to host this world championship twice.

The first time Tokyo hosted the Paralympic Games was in 1964.

And the tournament, which was postponed a year ago, was launched due to the new Corona virus, which has turned into a global epidemic, according to the Japanese “Kyodo” news agency, which indicates that there are concerns about the safety of participants in the international competition, which is the largest in the world for people with special needs.
