Manchester City became the first football team in the world to have a market value of more than one billion euros.

According to what was reported by the “Transport Market” website, which specializes in club statistics and player transfers, the market value of the English club reached 1.06 billion euros.

The arrival of Englishman Jack Grealish greatly contributed to enhancing the market value of the club, after moving from Aston Villa with the most expensive deal in the history of the Premier League, which amounted to about 117 million euros, especially since its market value is 65 million euros.

The record increase in the value of both Phil Foden and Robin Diaz during a year contributed to raising the club’s market value, and the value of each player increased by 20 million euros, and Foden’s value became 80 million euros, while Diaz’s value reached 75 million euros.

In the squad, the Belgian Kevin De Bruyne is the most expensive, with a market value of about 100 million euros, followed by the English Raheem Sterling with about 90 million euros.

Chelsea ranked second in terms of market value, with an amount of 998 million euros, while the French capital, Paris Saint-Germain, came third, with a value of 993 million euros, according to what the Aleqt website reported.
