Today, Monday, the Israeli army confiscated 23 tons of chocolate bars, at the Nitzana crossing between Israel and Egypt, destined for the Gaza Strip, claiming that they were used as an alternative means of transferring money to the “Hamas” movement.
The Hebrew newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, said: “Hamas is suspected of running a vast infrastructure to finance terrorism through the financing of goods.”
For its part, the office of the Israeli Defense Minister, Benny Gantz, said that the latter had signed the order to confiscate the chocolate.
