Extracting a worm 2 cm long from the cheek of a small child in Saudi Arabia

In a strange incident that took place in Saudi Arabia, the doctors of the emergency department at the King Faisal Complex in Taif extracted a worm 2 cm long from the cheek of an 8-year-old boy.

The child was constantly suffering from severe pain and swelling in the left cheek, when he was taken to the hospital. After his initial examination and an x-ray of the cheek, which contained swelling and pain, it was found that there was a worm under the skin, according to what was reported by the “Gulf 365” website.

The official spokesman for the health department in Taif, Siraj Al-Humaidan, said that pediatric surgeons were called, who removed the worm, cleaned the place, and gave antibiotics and appropriate treatment to the child.

According to the information, the child has left the hospital and is in stable condition so far.
