American David Taylor won the men’s middleweight gold in freestyle wrestling at the Tokyo Games on Thursday.

The American defeated Iran’s Hassan Yazdani in the 86-kg final, to win the gold and the Iranian to win the silver.

Russia’s Artur Naifonov and Miles Amini of San Marino took the bronze.

The Russian Zavor Ogoev won the gold medal in the men’s freestyle wrestling competitions in the weight of 57 kg.

Ugoyev defeated India’s Kumar Ravi 7-4 in the final. Today, Thursday, American David Taylor won the men’s middleweight gold in freestyle wrestling at the Tokyo Games.
