Yesterday, Monday, the American “Facebook” social networking site announced that it will require all its employees inside America to wear a medical mask when reopening its offices.
A Facebook spokesperson said in a statement, “Due to the increasing numbers of cases of (Covid-19), and the latest data on its variables, we are returning the requirements to wear a muzzle in all Facebook offices in America, regardless of the employee’s vaccination status,” according to the website. “The Verge”.
The new policy will come into effect on Monday, August 3, and will remain in effect until further notice.
And Facebook confirmed last week that it will require the vaccination of all employees returning to work on its campus in America by obtaining a vaccination from the emerging “Corona” virus, with its full reopening by next October.
The new “Facebook” policy regarding masks came in conjunction with the announcement by health officials of the Bay region to restore the requirements for wearing a medical mask in indoor places in several provinces, amid an increase in (Covid-19) cases across the country, and the spread of the highly contagious “delta” mutant.
Other technology companies are also working to change their plans and policies according to case numbers, CDC recommendations, and local guidelines, as “Google” postponed plans to reopen its offices last week, and announced that it would require vaccination for all employees in the offices, while “Apple” required the wearing of a muzzle for all. Its customers and employees in most of America’s retail store, whether or not they have been vaccinated.
