Last Friday, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed congratulated his compatriot, sprinter Selimon Bariga, for winning the men’s 10,000-meter race at the Tokyo Olympics, the first gold in the athletics program.
“Congratulations to Selimon Barriga for winning the first gold medal in the 10,000 meters at the Tokyo Olympics. I wish good luck to the rest of our competitors,” Abiy Ahmed tweeted through his official account on the social networking site “Twitter”.
The 2020 Summer Olympics will be held in Tokyo from July 23 to August 8, and was scheduled to be held last year, but due to the Corona virus pandemic, it had to be postponed for a year, and most competitions will be held without an audience on Release, due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation in Japan.
