China continues its efforts to combat the effects of the floods, which hit the country and led to great human losses, in several ways, including the use of drones.
And the drones, manufactured by China, contributed to supporting the rescue efforts, following the floods that killed more than 50 people, according to statistics on Friday.
China International Television Network published a video clip, which it said monitors part of the use of homemade drones to combat the effects of floods in one of the affected areas in China.
The network said, on Twitter, that the Chinese authorities sent a domestically-made “Wing Loong 2” drone to support relief efforts in Meihe Town, Henan Province, which was ravaged by floods.
The drone, which was launched on July 21 from Anshun City, southwest China’s Guizhou Province, contributed to the resumption of mobile phone networks for approximately 5 hours.

China’s economic losses due to the floods are estimated to be about 10 billion US dollars, in addition to the human losses and the evacuations, which included hundreds of thousands of people.
