Doctors in Morocco decided not to give permission to boxer Khadija Al-Mardi to go to Tokyo to participate in the Olympic Games, stressing that her participation could put her life at risk.

And Moroccan media reported that doctors indicated that boxing, who won bronze in the last world championship, may face serious problems, especially if she receives a blow above the belt from the opponent’s side.

Khadija Al-Mardi worked hard to be in Tokyo despite pregnancy and giving birth by caesarean section last month, as she managed to lose 18 kilograms in a short time.

The 2020 Summer Olympics will be held in Tokyo from July 23 to August 8. It was scheduled to be held last year, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it had to be postponed for a year, and most competitions will be held without an audience at all, due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation in Japan.
