Today, Friday, a Dutch court sentenced a 49-year-old Syrian to 20 years in prison, accused of war crimes, for his role in the execution of a soldier from the regular forces during the Syrian war.

The judges said that Ahmed al-Khidr, nicknamed Abu Khdeir, was a member of the terrorist “Al-Nusra Front” (banned in Russia), which at one time allied itself with the terrorist “Al-Qaeda” organization in Syria.

They concluded that his voice could be heard in a recording depicting the execution of a captive, bloodied Syrian soldier, by shooting him on the banks of the Euphrates River in 2012, according to what was reported by “Reuters”.

It is noteworthy that the German authorities had charged a German-Syrian woman last year with accusations of joining a terrorist organization, violating the Law on Controlling Weapons of War, and bringing women to ISIS (the terrorist organization banned in Russia).

The accused admitted in the German court of Zele, that she traveled to Syria with her husband in 2014, expressing regret for making this trip, and distanced herself from the terrorist organization.

According to documents provided by the Public Prosecution Office, the accused traveled to Syria to support the terrorist operations of ISIS, in addition to her belonging to a network that facilitates bringing other women from Germany to the terrorist organization.
