After 24 years of missing him, his son was found by a Chinese father, after he was kidnapped by smugglers when he was two years old in front of the family home in Shandong Province, in 1997.
In the context of the incident, the newspaper “Daily Mail” indicated that the Chinese child, Guo Shenzhen, at the age of two (in 1997), was kidnapped by smugglers for the purpose of selling him for money, prompting his father, Goh Gang Tang, 51, to Traveling 310,000 miles around China over the past two decades, trying to find him.
While the police tracked down the child using a DNA test, and were able to find him as a young man, the family was finally reunited on Sunday in emotional scenes.
The “Daily Mail” pointed out that the father traveled to more than 20 provinces throughout China on a motorcycle, following the news of the kidnapped over the past 24 years, and during the search, he suffered broken bones, various accidents, and even encountered highway thieves, as The father carried pictures of his young son to banners attached to his motorcycles, ten of which were damaged during his mission, spent his savings on fishing, slept under bridges, and helped seven other fathers reunite them with their kidnapped children.
Speaking after being reunited with his young son, the father said: “Now that I’ve found my son, everything will be happy from now on.”
According to local reports, the son graduated from university and is now working as a teacher.
