He lost most of his senses.. The oldest man in the world celebrates his 113th birthday soon

The oldest person in the world is preparing to celebrate his 113th birthday in the coming days, after Guinness World Records recorded him as the oldest person in the world so far.

According to CNN, Emilio Flores Marquez, who was born in 1908 in Puerto Rico, is preparing to celebrate his 113th birthday.

The American network added that Emilio Flores Marquez had lost most of his senses, such as sight, hearing and his ability to speak clearly.

Emilio, who was born on August 8, 1908, received the certificate of the oldest living man in the world from the Guinness Book of Records, and his age is now 112 years and 327 days, which qualifies him to be the oldest person in the world.

Emilio, the second in a family of 11 children, was married to Andrea Perez for 75 years until her death in 2010.

The couple have four children and have five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, according to Guinness World Records.

Emilio now lives in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico with his two sons, Tersa and Milito.

And headlines about his story stated that the key to Marquez’s secret, known as “Don Milo”, to a happy life is “to enjoy an abundance of love and live without anger.”

Prior to Elemilio, Dumitru Komonescu was the first surviving man recognized by Guinness World Records, but he died on June 27, 2020, less than a month after receiving the record at the age of 111 years and 219 days.

After his death, Guinness World Records said it had received evidence supporting Marquez, who was born three months earlier from Komonescu.

The oldest person on earth is 118-year-old Ken Takana, who lives in a nursing home in Fukuoka, Japan.

In March, her grandson told CNN that Tacana was seeking the record for the oldest person who ever lived, which is held by Jeanne Louise Calment, a French woman who died at the age of 122.
