Judi Love pulled a cheeky prank at her Stormzy-obsessed daughter’s 16th birthday party this weekend.
Speaking on Monday’s episode of Loose Women, the panellist, 41, admitted she pretended the Big For Your Boots hitmaker, 27, had shown up to the celebration.
Recalling the hilarious moment, which left her daughter “holding her chest” in excitement, Judi joked: “I couldn’t help it, I couldn’t help it!”
She explained: “We had a beautiful outside venue all Covid regulated. It was just stunning, the effort of the team. She was so happy.”
The birthday was a welcome celebration after a year of cancellations, including the teen’s prom.
Judi continued: “I did play a trick on her and everyone who knows me knows she’s an absolute Stormzy fan. Not even a fan, she is his top fan and because of her, we ended up in one of his promo videos for his single. She just loves Stormzy.
“She will meet Stormzy one day very soon but what I did do, at the party they were all dancing and I just screamed and went, ‘Oh my God, Stormzy!’ She looked back, ran, held her chest and he weren’t there.”
To which her co-star Gloria Hunniford quipped: “You’re so mean!” with Judi admitting: “I couldn’t help it, I couldn’t help it.”
Explaining how much her daughter is a fan of Stormzy, she continued: “We were at a Burna Boy concert and Stormzy, we didn’t know he was going to be there.
“He came out, we heard the music, I went to turn to my daughter to say, ‘Stormzy’s come out on-stage’, she dropped down on the floor like the guy next to us was holding her up.
“She’s an absolute fan, she knows all the songs and you can’t talk about her Stormzy. She’s a big, big fan.”
It comes after Judi took to Instagram to document her daughter’s 16th birthday on Sunday where she shared an inside look at the lavish celebrations.
The proud mother sweetly penned alongside the snaps: ‘My baby 16th birthday! I’m emotional and proud all at the same time. It’s her born day but it’s my birthday.
“I give God thanks for the blessing that enable us to grow through these last 16 years. I love you my sweetie, you coming into my life has changed me for the better.”
She added: “Thank you to @gardentreasuress @kandistouch @fashionnovacurve @lovesamantics @balloonsgaloreldn @dreamexperienceldn @dreamteamdesignandprint and the amazing food by @new_tings_restaurant.”
