Italian coach: Ronaldo is a multinational company and has personal interests

The former Italian coach of Juventus, Maurizio Sarri, revealed that he had difficulty dealing with Cristiano Ronaldo during his tenure at the club.

“It is not easy to deal with Ronaldo, he is a multinational company with personal interests that must be combined with the interests of the team. I consider myself a better coach than a manager,” Sarri told Sport Italia television.

He added: “There are also a lot of positive aspects, because Ronaldo will bring results in the end, which are important results… He represents something that goes beyond the club with over 200 million followers on social media, but this is a problem in our society. Unfortunately, There is a lot of talk about players and a lot of talk about teams.”
“We won the league without even celebrating it, everyone went to dinner alone,” Sarri added.

The Italian coach concluded, “The league title was taken for granted inside and outside the club. But this year I saw them celebrate fourth place, so maybe these were the ideal conditions to go to Juventus.”

Sarri led Juventus to the Serie A title in the 2019-20 season, but was sacked at the end of the season after losing to Olympique Lyonnais in the Champions League round of 16.
