British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced today, Monday, that fans will return to the stands of football stadiums in full, starting from July 19.

Johnson said in a press conference today, that the wearing of a muzzle to prevent the Corona virus will not be mandatory in closed public places in England from July 19, also announcing the end of the mandatory social separation.

“As we move towards a government decision on step 4 of the roadmap and beyond, we will continue to work with football stakeholders and relevant public authorities to ensure that the return to full capacity is done in a way that keeps everyone safe,” the FA said in a statement.

“The fans were largely absent, so we welcome the government’s announcement today and look forward to full stadiums in the 2021/22 season,” he added.

With this decision, English fans will be able to fully attend the 2021-2022 Premier League season, and will take effect three weeks before the start of the Premier League on August 13, when Brentford hosts the newly promoted Arsenal.

Thus, the fans will return to the stands in England in the English Premier League competition 100%, without any mandatory restrictions due to the Corona virus, or specifying a certain number of fans to attend the matches.
