American robotics company Boston Dynamics has released a new video of the robot dancing after it was announced that it was acquired by Hyundai.

And although it announced the completion of the acquisition last week in a press release, Boston Dynamics decided to celebrate the occasion in an exciting way on Tuesday.

The video shows five dog-like robots dancing to BTS’s song IONIQ: I’m On It, and demonstrates the subtlety and sophistication of their devices, which feature long arm-like attachments.

Many social media users praised the new clip, but not all of them were completely enthusiastic.

One user commented, “I’m not very happy with the scary dance video,” while others described the dance as “horrifying” and miserable.

Boston Dynamics has also been criticized for being “sold to South Koreans”, with a commentator in the US complaining, “Can’t we keep any technology here in America anymore?”

Hyundai has bought a controlling stake in Boston Dynamics from Japan’s SoftBank. The robotics company was valued at $1.1 billion during the deal.
