34 sandwiches in 10 minutes .. a tie decides a competition to eat burgers in Washington

Washington’s annual burger-eating competition champion Molly Schuller couldn’t eat the sandwiches she swallowed last year when she won the competition to set her own record of 35 burgers.

And the competition champion had to share the championship cup on Friday with the second-place winner last year, after they each ate 34 burgers in ten minutes.

Her annual opponent, Dan Kennedy, managed to devour 34 sandwiches in the annual championship hosted by fast food chain Z Burger.

Fourteen of the top US professional racers competed to see who could eat the most burgers in ten minutes for prizes worth $4,350, including the grand prize of $1,750 in cash.
