The Russian capital, Moscow, ranked third in the ranking of the most attractive cities for life in the world, according to a report by experts from the international consulting firm (BCG).
The classification was based on an examination of the standard of living, employment opportunities, society’s relations with the authorities, as well as the dynamics of positive changes in the lives of citizens.
Experts evaluated 16 major cities, with the American city of New York ranked first, while the British capital, London, ranked second, according to the website of the Moscow municipality.
“The criterion for success in our ranking is the city’s ability to best meet the needs of its residents,” said Vladislav Butenko, Head of Urban Development at the international consulting firm. The study included 25,000 residents in all 16 cities.
It is noteworthy that Moscow entered for the first time, at the end of last year, the list of the 20 best cities in the world in terms of attracting expatriates, according to the Capital Center for Economic and Social Policy.
According to the report, Moscow is a large financial center with jobs and various fields, which makes inflation low and unemployment the lowest among the major cities in the world.
