“Human Rights Watch” criticizes the “unfair” trial of a Yemeni model from “Ansar Allah”

Today, Wednesday, Human Rights Watch announced the start of the trial of Yemeni model, Intisar Al-Hammadi, in Sanaa, which is under the control of the “Ansar Allah” group (Houthis) this month, on charges of committing an “immoral act”.

And according to a report by France 24, this evening, Wednesday, the “Ansar Allah” group accuses Intisar Al-Hammadi of several charges, including committing an immoral act and possession of drugs, stressing that Al-Hammadi (20 years) is being held in a prison in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, Since last February.
Human Rights Watch confirmed in a statement that “Ansar Allah” is trying Al-Hammadi unfairly, and that her case was referred in June to the court, after being forced to confess to various crimes, especially drug possession and prostitution, and the Houthis were not satisfied with that. Rather, they subjected Intisar Al Hammadi to a “forced virginity test”, noting that the Yemeni model’s case was marred by irregularities and violations.

It is noteworthy that Intisar Al Hammadi, from a Yemeni father and an Ethiopian mother, has been working as a model for four years, and has also worked in two Yemeni TV series in 2020, but at the same time she is the only breadwinner for her family or family, consisting of four members, as her father is blind and her brother has a disability. physical.

The Yemeni people have been suffering from a conflict that has existed since 2015 between the internationally recognized legitimate government, supported by an international coalition led by Saudi Arabia, on the one hand, and against the “Ansar Allah” group, which has controlled the capital, Sana’a, since 2014.
