Saudi Arabia … the discovery of the remains of an extinct whale from 37 million years ago

Today, Sunday, Saudi Arabia announced the discovery of the remains of an extinct whale 37 million years ago, northwest of the Kingdom.

The Geological Survey said that the remains of the whale were found in the Al-Jawf region, stressing that this is a unique historical discovery.

The authority published on its official Twitter account a video clip documenting its researchers’ handling of the new archaeological discovery.

She confirmed that the remains of the whale are almost complete, and they are being transferred to the main center in the city of Jeddah, in the west of the Kingdom.

For his part, Abdullah Al-Shamrani, CEO of the authority, said that the discovered remains belong to an extinct primitive whale 37 million years ago, according to “Akhbar 24”.
