The International Football Association (FIFA) announced the classification of the teams, on Friday, which will be officially adopted during the draw for the final round of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The current classification did not differ much from the previous one, with the exception of the progress of the Emirates at the expense of Iraq, which made it in the third level, while the lions of Mesopotamia fell to fourth place.

The first level came from Japan and Iran, the second level was Australia and South Korea, the third level was Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the fourth level was Iraq and China, the fifth was Oman and Syria, and the sixth was Vietnam and Lebanon.

The draw ceremony will take place next July 1, at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation, via video link, to lay out the road map for 12 teams that will compete to reach the World Cup in Qatar.

According to the new classification, the qualified teams will be divided into two groups, where each group includes 6 teams competing in the home and away system, so that the first and second of each group qualify for the 2022 World Cup directly, while the third of each group competes in the continental supplement, and the winner of them will meet with the fourth CONCACAF in the World Supplement.
