For their part, the residents of the area called the police and rescue officers to the scene and cut off the road to start the rescue operation.
The police tried to negotiate with the woman, but with no results, so they decided to involve the rescue dog, Digby, who had been trained to help people in similar situations.
Rescue workers told the woman the dog’s story and suggested she move away from the edge and approach the dog to get to know him better. The woman agreed and was saved from death.
According to the journalist, the woman was referred to mental health professionals.
