The founder and CEO of Formula E, Alejandro Agag, presented an offer to host two races in Egypt during the coming period.
Agag’s statements came during his meeting with the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, which was reported by the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram, to discuss aspects of joint cooperation during the coming period.
Agag offered to hold two rounds of the “Formula E” and “Extreme E” championships in Egypt this year, as a gesture of fruitful cooperation, and to benefit from the Egyptian capabilities and Egyptian expertise in organizing mass events.
For his part, the Egyptian Minister of Youth welcomed, in cooperation with Formula E, and demanded that a full report be sent on the two proposed activities in Egypt to take the actual steps related to organizing and hosting, whether in the city of Galala, Hurghada or Sharm el-Sheikh.
