The Russian President inaugurated the first phase of the project via video technology, and during a speech at the inauguration ceremony, he praised the project and stressed its importance to the Russian economy.

“A project with a large and important capital, in which the cost of the entire project is more than 1 trillion rubles (about 13 billion dollars), I am sure that the last stage will begin in 2024-2025 as planned,” the Russian president said.

He also congratulated the participants in the project, thanking them for their perseverance and responsibility, stressing the importance of the project to the Russian economy. Putin said that “a large-scale plant has been established, without exaggeration of strategic importance, and the plant is important not only for industry but for the entire national economy, and for the development of Eastern Siberia and the Far East.” .

The “Amur” gas plant is located near the city of Svobodny in the Amur region, and the plant is one of the largest infrastructure projects of “Gazprom” in the Far East. The construction of the plant began in 2015.

The Amur plant will process multi-component natural gas, and the annual gas processing plant capacity is expected to reach 42 billion cubic meters by 2025. As part of the project, 7 production lines will be operated in phases, each with a capacity of 7 billion cubic meters of gas. gas annually.

It is planned that the refining capacity of “Gazprom” will increase by 80% after the plant reaches its full capacity.
