American experts believed that the Russian plane “Il-10” could be the most effective aircraft of the Second World War, if it was born early.
And an American news site said about the “Il-10” fighter-bomber, that it was considered a flying tank due to its heavy armor that protects the pilot and engine from enemy fire.
The weight of the armor of the “IL-10” was about 1,000 kilograms, according to the “19 Forty Five” website.
The website indicated that the “Il-10” aircraft provoked hatred for the Nazi German leader, Hitler.
The Il-10 came into existence in Russia in 1944, so it wasn’t until the end of World War II in 1945.
