Juventus appoints Alegre to succeed Pirlo coach

Italian media said on Thursday that Juventus, the Serie A club, has dismissed the services of its coach Andrea Pirlo and that it has appointed its former coach Massimiliano Alegre as his replacement.

The “Sky Italia” television network said that Alegre would coach the Turin club for the second time, two years after his departure, after reaching an agreement with the club’s management.

These reports came after Italian champions Inter Milan ended the contract of coach Antonio Conte, and Spanish reports said that Zinedine Zidane would leave Real Madrid as coach.

It is noteworthy that Pirlo, 41, unexpectedly took over Juventus as coach Maruzzo Sarri last August, but he is under harsh criticism because of the disappointing results, after the old woman’s chances of winning the Italian league title, “Calcio” for the tenth time in a row, declined. Juventus were also knocked out in the Champions League round of 16 against Porto.
