Former advisor to the British prime minister: Johnson said “to pile up the bodies”

Dominic Cummings, a former advisor to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, confirmed that he heard the latter saying “to pile up the bodies”, when discussing imposing a general lockdown in the country again at the end of last year.
And he said, in response to a question whether he heard the prime minister say these words: “Yes.”

He added to a parliamentary committee: “I heard this in the prime minister’s office.”

Johnson denied earlier reports of his preference for “letting the bodies pile up.”
