Thousands of people demonstrated in Sydney, Australia, and hundreds in Melbourne, today, Saturday, to protest against the attacks launched by Israel on Gaza in light of the days of conflict.
“Reuters” agency reported that rallies took place at the municipality building to start a march in the streets chanting slogans such as “Freedom for Palestine” and “Freedom for Gaza.”
“I see an uprising, I see people who will no longer remain silent, people fed up, people respond to oppression and violence by defending themselves,” a Sydney protester told the agency.
In Melbourne, the protesters gathered in front of the Victoria State Library, and marched towards Parliament, and many of them carried signs with the words “Freedom for Palestine”.
Today, Friday, the Palestinian presidency condemned the “programmed killings” carried out by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem, as the number of victims of the Israeli bombing in Gaza reached 122 in Gaza, and 7 in the West Bank so far.
