An American woman confesses to robbing a bank to beautify her cheeks and lips

A transgender woman in Alabama confessed to robbing a bank in the state, to get money to cover the costs of plastic surgery she underwent in Mexico.

The charges against Iconic Vaci, a transgender woman, go back two years after she robbed BancorpSouth. The trial was expected to begin next month, but she asked her lawyer to file a confession of the crime on her behalf.

Fassi was planning to perform plastic surgery to “feminize” her facial features through an operation for her cheeks, lips and nose, and used the stolen money to do so.

Judge Randy Perisich Muller sentenced her to 15 years in prison for each count, which will be carried out simultaneously.

Fassi carried out the robbery on March 22, 2019 and was arrested on March 30, 2019 at Houston International Airport while returning from Mexico after undergoing surgery.
