First look at Leonardo DiCaprio in new Apple movie with Martin Scorsese

The first image from Martin Scorsese’s upcoming Killers of the Flower Moon starring Leonardo DiCaprio has been released.

Despite what you may have heard, Leo does very much look like Leo in the Apple Original film, which depicts the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation in a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the Reign of Terror.

In the first-look image, Ernest Burkhart (DiCaprio) and his wife Mollie (Lily Gladstone), an Osage woman, are pictured next to each other early in their relationship, after Mollie invites Ernest in for a meal and they form a bond.

Killers of the Flower Moon is based on David Grann’s book of the same name, and the film also stars Robert De Niro, as well as Breaking Bad’s Jesse Plemons as Tom White, the FBI agent investigating the murders, in a role that was initially held by DiCaprio himself.

Earlier this year, Plemons’ casting was confirmed along with the announcement that DiCaprio was taking up a secondary lead role instead, playing Ernest Burkhart, the nephew to a powerful local rancher, played by De Niro.

Killers of the Flower Moon isn’t the only project that DiCaprio is working on, as earlier this month it was reported that the star will take over Marvel star Mads Mikkelsen’s role in the English-language remake of Oscar-winning drama Another Round.

It was reported that DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson’s production company Appian Way won the fiercely-contested auction for the film’s remake rights with a writer now currently being sought for the project.
