Today, Sunday, Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen rejected an American request regarding the current events in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Today, Sunday, the Israeli Army Radio quoted Cohen as saying that his country belongs to them, and it does not need any directives from anyone, in response to an American request regarding the current events in Jerusalem.

The radio reported that senior officials in the administration of President Joe Biden, demanded clarifications from senior Israeli officials on the issue of real estate in the town of Sheikh Jarrah in occupied Jerusalem.

Eli Cohen said, in response:

Israel is acting responsibly and permitting freedom of worship, but measures must be taken against those who violate the order. There are those who incite the fire, and they are elements not in the West Bank, but in Gaza. Elements of Islamic Jihad and Hamas receive funding from Iran.

Clashes erupted between dozens of Palestinians and Israeli security forces, on Saturday evening, in the Bab al-Amud area in Jerusalem, wounding 80 Palestinians.

The Israeli security forces suppressed dozens of Palestinian demonstrators in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem with wastewater and rubber bullets, which led to a number of injuries, according to a “Sputnik” correspondent.
