The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, confirmed to the Czech Prime Minister, Andrei Babis, by phone, that his country supports Prague’s decision to exclude the Russian company “Rosatom” from the bidding of the Dukovani nuclear plant.

Blinken spoke with the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis today … Minister Blinken affirmed the solidarity of the United States with the Czech Republic in its courageous response to the sabotage and murderous acts of Russia on the Czech lands … and that the decisions of the Czech government to exclude (Rosatom) from the Dokovani nuclear tender and reduce the intelligence presence The Russian Federation in Prague has greatly enhanced the security of the Czech Republic and NATO. ”
And the Czech Industry Minister Karel Havlicek said in the middle of last month that what he described as a “security dispute” with Russia could affect the decision to invite Russia to participate in a nuclear negotiation.
He continued, in a statement to “Reuters”: “The security dispute with Russia may affect the decision to invite Moscow to bid for the construction of a new unit in the Dukovani nuclear power plant.”
Last month, the Czech Interior Minister, Jan Hamachik, announced the expulsion of 18 Russian diplomats from the country, on suspicion of their relationship with the Russian special services, and gave them 48 hours to leave the country.
