The head of the Russian government “Roskosmos”, Dmitry Rogozin, presented unique snapshots of the formation of vortices and weather, which were photographed by the Russian satellite “Arctika-M”.
Rogozin posted the satellite photos on Telegram.
One of the pictures shows “the emergence of vortices and weather over the northern hemisphere.” Rogozin also noted that the Russian Federal Service of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on the basis of this information, has begun developing weather forecast models.
Rogozin wrote: “The Arctica-M satellite continues to be tested. Images of dynamic processes in the atmosphere on a global scale over the Arctic open new possibilities for solving meteorological problems.”
He also added that before Arctica-M was launched, no one had received dynamic operations in this region of the world with such a frequency. “We are the first,” he concluded.
