Media: Dozens of dead and wounded in the collapse of a bridge in northern Israel

Today, Friday morning, Hebrew media reported that dozens of people were killed and injured due to the collapse of a bridge and a building in the “Meron” mountain in northern Israel.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that 20 people were seriously injured and 150 were transferred to hospitals in the collapse of a platform at a religious ceremony in Mount Meron.

It was reported that at least 15 people were killed in the accident of the bridge collapse, while aircraft were called in to help transport the dead and injured.

For its part, the Israeli police announced the suspension of travel and buses heading to the mountain, and preventing the public from entering the site of the accident, to facilitate the transportation of the injured.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the incident as a “great disaster”.
