A Jordanian boxer dies after receiving a “knockout” in a confrontation with the World Youth Championship
The Jordanian Olympic Committee announced the death of the national boxing team player for the youth category, Rashid Sweissat, as a result of an injury he suffered in the World Youth Championship in the Polish city of Kalsi.
The committee said in a post on its Facebook page, “As the Jordanian Olympic Committee, represented by its president, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein, members of the board of directors and the Jordanian sports family, mourns the deceased Sweissat. His mercy and pleasure. ”

Sweissat was injured during a confrontation that took place on Friday, April 16, in the World Youth Championship, where he suffered a knockout from his opponent during the confrontation, and was subsequently transferred to the hospital, before he died in Naba, which caused widespread shock and sadness on the communication sites.

The Jordanian Olympic Committee had previously announced in a statement that the player’s injury “necessitated his transfer to a hospital and an emergency surgery for him.”
She added, “The Jordanian Olympic Committee, in coordination with the Jordanian and International Boxing Federations, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Jordan in Germany, is in constant contact with the medical staff to determine his health condition,” according to the statement.
