Clashes break out between Palestinian youths and the Israeli police in the Al-Tur village in Jerusalem

A correspondent of “Sputnik” agency reported that clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli police in the village of Al-Tur in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem – Sputnik. In clashes with Israeli police in the vicinity of the Old City of Jerusalem, 8 Palestinians were wounded, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Organization.

A correspondent of “Sputnik” agency previously reported that at least 6 Palestinian youths were injured in Al-Tur village in Jerusalem.

For its part, the Israeli army confirmed that it had bombed a Hamas site in the Gaza Strip in response to the launching of rockets from the Strip towards Israel.

Sirens were activated in Israeli municipalities on the borders of the Gaza Strip twice on Friday night, when rockets were fired from the Strip.

East Jerusalem witnessed tensions after midnight on Saturday, as clashes took place between Palestinians and Israeli police in night clashes during the month of Ramadan, sparking protests in towns across the occupied West Bank while militants fired rockets from the Gaza Strip.

Tensions increased in the city after protests on Thursday by Palestinian youths angered by restrictions imposed on gathering during the month of Ramadan, and Israeli protests angered by Palestinian attacks on religious Jews in recent times.
