The Deputy Director of the Forestry and Fishing Agency in the Sakhalin region, Daniela Dudarev, confirmed today, Thursday, that Dibba stormed a school in the village of Sakhalin, causing panic among the residents.

“This bear appeared in the school on Monday .. so we kept the forests under surveillance and control. But it has since disappeared and the bear appeared this morning. Hunting experts are tracking it,” Dudarev said.

Dudarev added: “In the event that the bear appears again in the village, we will have to make a decision to shoot it, because it represents a threat.”

Last Monday, surveillance cameras documented that the bear stormed the school in the village of Shibuneno, on the southwest coast of Sakhalin Island, where a security officer in the building scared him.
