A young Russian man pays for saving a dog with his life

A young Russian drowned as he tried to rescue a dog that had fallen into a frozen pond northeast of Moscow.

Eyewitnesses said, the young man rushed to rescue a dog that had fallen into the ice of Torvianka Pond, and upon reaching the middle of the pond, the ice cracked under his feet and fell into the water.

The accident happened before the very eyes of the people who were unable to help him, since most of them were retirees and mothers with prams who were walking around.

Rescuers arrived accompanied by divers to find the body of the young man in the pool, which is about two and a half meters deep.
