Russian nutritionist Alyona Stepanova confirmed that the reasons for the sudden desire to eat a certain product alone are evidence of a deficiency in certain substances in the body.
Stepanova said in a statement to the Russian “Zvezda” channel: “When a desire to eat sour food appears, this is evidence that the body suffers from disturbances in acidity levels and is trying to balance them.”
She added, “Cravings for salt indicate adrenal fatigue syndrome, which can be associated with feelings of fatigue and sleep disturbances. The craving for sugars is evidence that bacterial growth is occurring in the body caused by Candida bacteria.”
Stepanova indicated that the lack of calcium in the body creates the desire to eat chalk, while the desire to eat fatty foods is evidence of disturbances in the work of the pancreas.
Stepanova concluded by saying: “Uncontrolled appetite is evidence of disturbances in the work of the hormones responsible for satiety and appetite. Regulating sleep hours is the best solution to stabilize this process, because these hormones work regularly during the night hours.”
