WHO: Coronavirus vaccination in Europe is unacceptably slow

The European Office of the World Health Organization announced that the vaccination of the population against Corona virus is very slow in Europe.

Only 4% of the population had received two doses of the drug, and only 10% had a single injection. This process should be accelerated, as there is an increase in the number of infected cases in the region, according to reports from the Russian “360” channel.

During the past week, about 1.6 million people in the world were infected with “Covid-19”, while 24 thousand people died.

“The situation is very worrying. There is a risk that people will start visiting temples during the spring religious holidays, which will lead to new cases,” said Dorit Nitzan, Director of Regional Emergencies at the European Office.

According to the director of the office, Hans Kluge, the distribution of “Covid-19” vaccines in European countries is very slow. “As long as coverage remains low, we need to maintain restrictions to reduce the number of infections. Europe will only be able to emerge from the epidemic with widespread vaccination,” he said.
