The Himalayan bear, named Budoor, died in the Moscow Zoo without ever coming out of its winter hibernation.

This was reported on Wednesday, March 31st, by the Russian “Novosti” agency, citing the zoo’s health service.

The other two bears living in the Moscow Zoo, the brown bear “Rosa” and the Himalayan bear (Aladdin), woke up peacefully with the arrival of spring and are now returning to their normal state.
The director general of the Moscow Zoo, Svetlana Akulova, said that bears usually fall into hibernation in the autumn season, and come out of them with the arrival of spring. Unfortunately, this spring surprised us with the death of the Himalayan bear (Bodour), which could not get out of hibernation. Sick and old bears usually die in hibernation in particular, whether in zoos or in the woods. ”

She said that the current winter was snowy and cold. The other two bears, however, emerged from hibernation according to the timing and could be seen after two days.

It is noteworthy that the Russian “Rambler” agency had reported earlier that the marmot (Archie) had come out of the state of winter hibernation at the Moscow Zoo.
