A Ho Chi Minh Court in Vietnam sentenced a two-year suspended prison sentence to a flight attendant who violated anti-Coronavirus restrictions last November, and infect people close to him.

During the one-day trial, a Ho Chi Minh court convicted Dong Tan Hao, 29, of “spreading serious diseases.”

Howe, who works for the company, Vietnam Airlines, had violated the quarantine procedures established for a period of 14 days after he arrived in the country on a flight from Japan.

After he was tested negative for the virus after undergoing two tests, he met 46 people at a time when he was to be quarantined, visited cafes and restaurants and attended an English language course.

In the end, Howe tested positive for the virus at the end of last November, and is responsible for infecting at least three other people with the virus.

According to a police report, the subsequent tests and quarantine of about 2,000 people cost about $ 200,000.

The court said that Howe’s behavior exposed society to severe danger, but his good record and many extenuating circumstances led to the court serving a two-year suspended prison sentence, followed by a four-year probation period.

Vietnam has recorded 2,594 cases of coronavirus, and 35 deaths so far.
