The Palestinian film “200 meters” wins the Jerusalem Festival of Arab Cinema

The Palestinian film “200 meters”, directed by Amin Nayfah, won the best feature film award at the Jerusalem Festival of Arab Cinema in its first session, which ended on Monday.

The jury awarded its special prize to the Tunisian film “Bik Naish”, directed by Mehdi Bersaoui, while the committee praised the Moroccan film “Women of Wing C”, directed by Mohamed Nazif.

In the short films category, “Stacher” by Egyptian director Sameh Alaa won the prize, while the jury awarded its special prize to the Palestinian film “In the Laboratory” directed by Larissa Sansour.

The jury praised the Lebanese film “My Mother”, directed by Wasim Geagea.

In the feature documentary films category, “Taht El Taht”, directed by Sarah Qasas from Lebanon, won the award, and the jury prize went to the Palestinian film “Ibrahim indefinitely,” directed by Lina Al-Abd.

The closing ceremony of the festival and the announcement of the awards was held at the Palestinian National / Hakawati Theater. The screening of the Egyptian film “Curfew” starring Ilham Shaheen, Amina Khalil and Ahmed Magdy, and directed by Amir Ramses, was held.
