Australia is behind the vaccination plan by 3.4 million doses

Australia has given nearly 600,000 doses of the Corona vaccine, which is 3.4 million doses below the target rate of 4 million doses set by Prime Minister Scott Morrison until the end of March.
Australia’s chief health official, Professor Paul Kelly, said that 597,000 doses of the “Pfizer” or “AstraZeneca” vaccine have been administered so far, which is 15% of Morrison’s original target.

He indicated that Monday was a record day for vaccinations, as 55,597 vaccines were offered across Australia.

However, in order to reach the goal by the end of April, the Ministry of Health will still need to administer 3.4 million doses within four weeks, equivalent to 121,400 injections a day.

The prime minister said in January that he was aiming to receive 4 million people their first dose of the vaccine by the end of March, but Australia failed to reach its target due to international supply problems and natural disasters, including floods in New South Wales and reservation problems.
