Aidan Turner ‘marries girlfriend Caitlin Fitzgerald in secret ceremony in Italy’

Aidan Turner has reportedly married girlfriend Caitlin Fitzgerald in a secret ceremony in Italy.

The Poldark star, who was claimed to have got engaged in 2018, is said to have married American actress Caitlin after filming of his latest drama Leonardo ended.

A source told The Sun: “The couple are both madly in love and couldn’t wait to get hitched when their schedules allowed.

“They’re both very private and have kept the ceremony very much under wraps, but he has been seen taking lockdown walks with his wedding ring on show.

“Aidan hasn’t been in a rush to get wed and has very much been waiting for ‘The One’ to come along – and anyone who sees them knows they’re the perfect match,” the insider explained.

Aidan, 37, and Caitlin, 38, reportedly began dating in 2018 after filming fantasy movie the Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot.

The pair have decided to keep their romance private and have not gone on record to admit they are together.

Aidan is best-known for his role as Ross in historical drama series Poldark and set temperatures soaring with his infamous shirtless scenes.

He played the lead role on the series until the show concluded after five series in 2019.

His other acting credits include Irish medical drama series The Clinic, BBC’s Being Human as well as The Hobbit film series.

Meanwhile, Caitlin has starred in period drama series Masters of Sex and movies It’s Complicated and Love Simple.
