The Egyptian artist, Mohi Ismail, announced today, Monday, new developments regarding his cinematic project for embodying the late Libyan president, Muammar Gaddafi, in a movie.

In a symposium honoring him at the tenth session of the Luxor Festival of African Cinema, he said that this film is supposed to come to light during the current year, produced by an English company, according to Egyptian reports.

He revealed that the American actor, George Clooney, and a great international star are candidates for his participation in this movie.

Mohy Ismail explained that Muammar Gaddafi’s film has been writing it for 18 years, and the idea of ​​presenting it came to him when he was visiting the late writer, with Saad Eddin Wahba, who made him meet the late Libyan leader.

Ismail continued, “Wahba told me that I would embody Gaddafi in a movie, and I went to the Libyan president and met him.”

The Egyptian actor indicated that Moataz, Gaddafi’s son, who was killed next to him, was one of his close friends, and supported him with 12 books about his father in order to present the film.

It is noteworthy that Mohi Ismail’s most famous films include: “Enemy Brothers” with Mervat Amin, “Bir al-Harman”, “Khali Balak from Zuzu” with Suad Hosni, and “Had Sami Hajjah” with Ramez Jalal.
