The effectiveness of fitness bracelets in preventing the spread of infection tested in Moscow

Moscow is preparing to launch a pilot test for a project based on measuring people’s temperatures without touching them through the use of fitness bracelets.

According to the press service center of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department in the city, the first experiments with this technology will take place at School No. 1239.

A device that will be placed later in crowded places will be used to collect data from all bracelets that fall within a radius of 50 meters, through Bluetooth technology.

Then this data and information will be sent to the information center, which will issue a notification to the person suffering from high temperature.

Alexei Forsen, Head of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development, noted that more than 50 innovations have already been tested under the program, and more than 40 innovations are now being tested.

The Moscow government has been implementing a pilot testing program for innovative solutions since 2019, whereby startups and knowledge-based companies have the opportunity to test their products in suitable urban or commercial sites.

Evaluating the competitiveness and its prospects for development and improvement before launching it in the market thanks to feedback from consumers.
